Last week, CISE-ALERT Project took part in a workshop on “Exploring Cutting-Edge Tools and Technologies to Enhance Coast Guard Operations: A Workshop on Maritime Situational Awareness”, jointly organized by the Portuguese chairmanship of the European Coast Guard Function Forum (ECGFF) and the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
On the 19th of February 2024, the CISE-ALERT project took part in a thematic Workshop on Innovation for maritime situational awareness and maritime security, organized by the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) in Brussels.
During the last months of 2023 and in the beginning of 2024, the CISE-ALERT Project has moved forward with the preparation for the operational trials execution, which will demonstrate, for a period of 6 months, the real live use of the Common Information Sharing Environment – CISE.
On the 5th of December 2023, Project CISE-ALERT held its 1st Review Meeting with the European Commission, where the Consortium presented the carried-out activities and achieved progress during the first year of the project implementation.
The two meetings took place on the 13th and 14th of September 2023 in Sofia and were hosted by the Bulgarian partner in the project – Executive Agency “Maritime Administration”.
Together with representatives of EMSA, the members of the CISE-ALERT Consortium discussed the progress of the project in terms of definition and validation of the CISE services, which will be tested under the project, as well as for the status of the technical developments, implemented by each partner.
The 2nd Steering Committee (SC) meeting of the Project CISE-ALERT was held online on the 7th of June 2023, and was dedicated to the overall progress of the project up to now.
The members of the SC provided up-to-date information about the accomplishments and main results from the implemented activities, related to the management of the project, definition and implementation of services, trials preparation and project communication.
