CISE-ALERT presented during the ECGFF Workshop
Last week, CISE-ALERT Project took part in a workshop on “Exploring Cutting-Edge Tools and Technologies to Enhance Coast Guard Operations: A Workshop on Maritime Situational Awareness”, jointly organized by the Portuguese chairmanship of the European Coast Guard Function Forum (ECGFF) and the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).

On the 19th of February 2024, the CISE-ALERT project took part in a thematic Workshop on Innovation for maritime situational awareness and maritime security, organized by the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) in Brussels.
CISE-ALERT progress update
During the last months of 2023 and in the beginning of 2024, the CISE-ALERT Project has moved forward with the preparation for the operational trials execution, which will demonstrate, for a period of 6 months, the real live use of the Common Information Sharing Environment – CISE.
4th Steering Committee Meeting of the CISE-ALERT Project

We are glad to report that on the 11th of January 2024, the CISE-ALERT Project held its 4th Steering Committee (SC) Meeting.
1st Review Meeting and 3rd Consortium Meeting of Project CISE-ALERT
On the 5th of December 2023, Project CISE-ALERT held its 1st Review Meeting with the European Commission, where the Consortium presented the carried-out activities and achieved progress during the first year of the project implementation.
2nd Consortium Meeting and 3rd Steering Committee Meeting
The two meetings took place on the 13th and 14th of September 2023 in Sofia and were hosted by the Bulgarian partner in the project – Executive Agency “Maritime Administration”.
Together with representatives of EMSA, the members of the CISE-ALERT Consortium discussed the progress of the project in terms of definition and validation of the CISE services, which will be tested under the project, as well as for the status of the technical developments, implemented by each partner.
CISE-ALERT progress update
Over the past few months, the CISE-ALERT project has gradually moved from the analysis phase to the preparation of the 6-month CISE trials to be performed as part of the project. During this period, the main work has been carried out under Work Package 2 (WP2) - Services Definition, Work Package 3 (WP3) – Services implementation and Work Package 4 (WP4) - Endurance Trial preparation.
2nd CISE-ALERT Steering Committee meeting
The 2nd Steering Committee (SC) meeting of the Project CISE-ALERT was held online on the 7th of June 2023, and was dedicated to the overall progress of the project up to now.
The members of the SC provided up-to-date information about the accomplishments and main results from the implemented activities, related to the management of the project, definition and implementation of services, trials preparation and project communication.
CISE discussed at the European Maritime Day 2023
The future of the Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE) and the role of the CISE-ALERT project in the transition of CISE to an operational network were the main points discussed during the CISE workshop on 24 May.
1st CISE-ALERT Consortium meeting
On the 15th of February 2023, the CISE-ALERT Consortium held its 1st meeting, with the special participation of the European Maritime Safety Agency and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. The purpose of the event was to monitor the progress of the ongoing project activities and to coordinate the upcoming work, ensuring the project implementation is on-track.
1st CISE-ALERT Steering Committee Meeting
The 1st Steering Committee Meeting of the CISE-ALERT project took place on the 18th of January 2023 at the premises of European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) in Lisbon, Portugal. The event was held in hybrid form (in-person and virtual) and was attended by the SC members and EMSA’s representatives.
CISE-ALERT Kick-off meeting
The CISE-ALERT Kick-off meeting took place on the 16th and 17th of November 2022 in Paris, France. The two-day event, hosted by the Project Coordinator - Secrétariat général de la mer - Première ministre (SGMer) was dedicated to the upcoming work and overall expectations from the project implementation.
