We are very pleased to invite you to a special event, the CISE-ALERT Project VIP DAYS! A unique opportunity to view the demonstration of CISE-ALERT results and access first-hand information and knowledge on our services.
The event will take place on 11th and 12th of September, 2024 at the Italian Space Agency’s (ASI) headquarters in Rome, Italy.
CISE-ALERT VIP DAYS will see the participation of project partners (13 Public Authorities coming from 8 EU Member States) members of CISE Stakeholders Group (i.e. Coast Guards, Law Enforcement Agencies, Customs, Navy) and EU Agencies (i.e. EDA, EFCA, EEAS, EMSA, Frontex and SatCen) representatives.
The two-day event will outline the benefits of CISE and foster discussions, providing insights on new services and functionalities for improving the exploitation of the CISE infrastructure. The aim is to demonstrate the benefits obtained from the use of the CISE, both in terms of improved quality of collaboration between civilian and military authorities and in terms of type and quantity of data exchanged to support their operations at sea.
The highlight of the event will be a live demonstration of the use of CISE, through predefined crisis scenarios, testing the operational interoperability between partner systems under real operational conditions and on an adequate scale. The proposed scenarios address highly relevant issues of the EU maritime domain: Drug trafficking, SAR, Pollution, Pre-arrival clearing, Illegal fishing, Protection of critical infrastructures, Illegal Immigration.
The CISE-ALERT VIP Days will be the occasion to discuss the Common Information Sharing Environment with European experts and members of the CISE community, exchanging lessons learnt on the use of CISE and best practices and recommendation for the implementation of the CISE Operational Phase.
Since 2009 the Italian Space Agency is supporting the involvement of the Italian community into CISE, being nominated by the Italian Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri as “super partes” technical coordinator. ASI is also hosting, operating and maintaining one of the two Italian CISE nodes and offers the possibility to access to specific sets of satellite images in support of CISE-ALERT services operations.
